All good things must come to an end – so also my ESC project in Vienna. I have spent six months as a volunteer in Grenzenlos, and now it’s time to move back to Finland and go on in my life.
Writing this blog and producing podcasts has been a dream job for me. I have enjoyed to wake up every day knowing that I have something motivating to do. When I started this project, I hadn’t so much experience with podcasting, or I didn’t feel so confident in writing the blog in English. During these months I have developed and learned so extremely many things.
But what is most important for me personally is that I have found something that I want to continue doing also in the future: I’m sure that I will somehow go on with blogs and podcasts – and who knows, maybe I can even find a job in this area some day. Without this ESC project I wouldn’t have found that I love this kind of work!
I would like to say two things to all of you who are reading this post. First of all, THANK YOU for following my project, reading this blog and listening to the podcasts! I hope that you have found motivation, inspiration, interesting stories and maybe something new to learn.
Secondly, I want to encourage each and everyone to volunteering and intercultural exchange. By doing the volunteering project and being active and open you can get so many valuable and memorable experiences, get to know so many new people, make long-lasting friendships, learn language… Take the chance and look where it leads you – maybe you can find a dream work like I did, for example. I’m sure that everyone can get something and benefit from the intercultural volunteering experience!
Thank you and bye! 🙂
